Advances in Theoretical Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), IIT Kharagpur is organising a 2-day workshop on Advances in Theoretical Computer Science to celebrate the significant contributions of Prof. Sudebkumar Prasant Pal on the occasion of his 65th birth year.

Over the years, the Department has produced some of the world’s best researchers in Theoretical Computer Science, many of whom will share their insights and recent advances as speakers at the workshop. Prof. Pal, himself an alumnus of the Department, has played a pioneering role in shaping research and scholarship in these domains. Through this workshop, we aim not only to highlight recent advances in the field, but also to honour and celebrate his enduring academic legacy and influence on generations of researchers. The event will also feature talks by several long-time collaborators of Prof. Pal, reflecting the breadth and impact of his contributions to areas such as Computational Geometry, Graph Theory and others.
