A MoU has been signed between Government of Bangladesh and Government of India, where Government of India has granted a fund to Government of Bangladesh for the training of trainers of Bangladesh nationals under the initiative BDSET.
The BHTPA under Ministry of Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology/ Information and Communication Technology Division wants to have training programs in subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, Extended Reality for five months plus two month for internship for 30 persons from Bangladesh.
The BHTPA published an open tender (Ref. No. 56.02.0000.029.07.022.21-82 dated 16.08.2021 for seeking training proposals from Indian and Bangladeshi bidders.
Management and Training International Ltd. (MTI Ltd.), Dhaka, Bangladesh took part in the bidding process and awarded the project for training on 15.02.2022.
MTI Ltd. approached to IIT Guwahati and IIT Kharagpur to implement the project.
IIT Guwahati agreed for a two months training for the subjects Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, Extended Reality. Also, IIT Guwahati will arrange two-month internship for 12 persons.
IIT Kharagpur agreed for a three months training for the subjects Data Science and Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Further, IIT Kharagpur will arrange two-month internship for 18 persons.
The training will be held in physical mode. IIT Guwahati will arrange training from 20.06.2022 to 18.08.2022 and IIT Kharagpur will organize training from 22.08.2022 to 16.11.2022. From 18.11.2022 to 18.01.2023, there will be internship programs.
The program will be concluded on 18.01.2023.
