Call for Paper
Nurturing the development of smart sensing techniques needs inter- and trans-disciplinary crosscutting research threads from system and operational engineering, computer science and information systems, computational modeling and industrial engineering etc. In this workshop, we call for papers addressing the latest innovations in the field of sensing and also discuss the potential research directions. We aim to bring together practitioners and researchers from both academia and industry conducting research on developing smarter sensing techniques, with the stakeholders responsible for data-driven research.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Sensing with Radio, Light, Sound, Communications and Vibration Wearable Computing
- Innovative wearable or mobile and implantable Devices
- Systems for location and context sensing and awareness
- Sensor data storage, retrieval, processing
- User interfaces for sensing apps and systems
- Applications in smart cities and urban health
- Evaluation/deployment of industrial sensor systems
- 3D Indoor Localization
- Heterogeneous collaborative sensing, including human-robot sensor systems
- Sensing the body (movement, behaviour, physiology)
- Sensing the eye (gaze, patterns of looking, eye-computer interaction)
- Sensing the brain (wearable fNIRS, EEG, brain-computer interfaces)
- Wireless sensor networks
- Advances in sensor devices for biomedical monitoring
- Visible Light Communication based sensing and other environmental sensing (motion sensor, pressure sensor etc)
