Hi, I am Srobona Mitra. I was born and brought up in Kolkata and have had a wonderful childhood there. My father Dr. Anup Kumar Mitra and mother Dr. Sikha Mitra are both doctors from Medical College, Kolkata. My home is in Chetla, a locality in South Kolkata. I went to Gokhale Memorial Girls' School and appeared for both my Class-X and Class-XII examinations from there. I passed my B.E in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University in Kolkata in 2004. After that I joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur for pursuing my M.Tech there. At the end of my M.Tech in 2006, I took up a job for a brief period of time in a network testing solutions company called Ixia in Kolkata. But I wanted to delve a little deeper into my subject and so came back to IIT Kharagpur again, this time for pursuing a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering.
