About me

I am presently working as a 'Post Doctoral Researcher' at the Department D5 (Database and Information Systems) of the Max Planck Institute for Informatics (MPII), Saarbrücken, Germany under Professor Gerhard Weikum, since July, 2019. Prior to that, I have been a 'Visiting Scholar' at the same group since November, 2018. Here, I am exploring advanced question-answering over knowledge graphs and text corpora.

I obtained my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, in June, 2019 (thesis submitted in October, 2018). My supervisor was Dr. Bivas Mitra. There, I was an active member of the Complex Network Research Group (CNeRG). My Ph.D. work mostly focused on studying different structural and functional properties of large scale multilayer social networks and designing various recommender systems for the benefit of the users belonging to those networks.
