Research Scholars' DayThe research scholars' day (RS Day) is an annual event celebrated by the MS and PhD students. As part of the programme, the students showcase their research work through posters and presentations to the attendees, which helps in recognition, feedback, collaborations, etc. Usually, the day long programme ends with cultural activities and dinner party. 2014RS Day 2014 was celebrated on March 09. The enthusiastic participation of students and faculty members made the fifth-edition of this event a memorable one. The event was orchestrated by numerous presentations and posters highlighting the insightful research activities being carried out by the scholars. Dr. Naveen Garg (Professor, CSE Dept., IIT-Delhi) was present as the chief guest for this event. Find out more in the event's brochure (pdf). 2013RS Day 2013 was celebrated on March 23. There were an enthusiastic participation by the faculty members and the students in this fourth edition of RS-Day. Dr. P. Anandan (Managing Director, Microsoft Research India) was present as the chief guest for this event along with Prof. A. N. Samanta (Dean PGS & R) of IIT Kharagpur. Find out more in the event's brochure (pdf). 2012RS Day 2012 was celebrated on March 17. The day witnessed an enthusiastic participation by the faculty and the students. The event was futher graced by the presence of Prof. Supratik Chakraborty (the chief guest) of IIT Bombay, Prof. Damodar Acharya (Director) and Prof. P. K. J. Mohapatra (Dean PGS & R) of IIT Kharagpur. Find out more in the event's brochure (pdf). 2011RS Day 2011 was held on 12th February. Continuing its success story, the event drew attention from all corners of the department, with large attendance from faculty as well as students. Prof. Subhashis Banerjee of IIT Delhi attended as the chief guest. Other dignitaries include Prof. Damodar Acharya (Director) and Prof. P. K. J. Mohapatra (Dean PGS & R) of IIT Kharagpur. Find out more in the event's brochure (pdf). 2010RS Day 2010 marks the beginning of the key tradition of research scholars showcasing their work. It was grandly celebrated on 6th February. The event was a huge success with enthusiastic participation from the faculty, students, and guests. Prof. Somenath Biswas of IIT Kanpur graced the event as chief guest, who is one of the graduates of this same department in its budding years. The event was also attended by Prof. P. K. J.
