There are many results on the possibilities of privacy leak in location based sevices and many solutions have also been suggested. I also worked on one of this approach which includes determination of minimum bounding region (MBR) for a given location obtained through GSM data. Overlay this MBR over map using Shape files. Use Hidden Markov Model (HMM) to get the exact location.
