I am an MS Student (Communication Empowerment Laboratory) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. I completed my BE in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2006. My advisors are Prof. Anupam Basu and Prof. Sudeshna Sarkar.

My areas of interest are Data Mining, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing and Assistive Technology.

My current MS. work is on Improvement of the Fluency of the Text Generated in Natural Language Generation System Using Computational Methods. Here is a brief summary of the work.

I have proposed computational methods to improve the fluency of the Bengali text generated by Natural Language Generation system. The two techniques proposed in this work are statistical corpus based approach for prenominal modifier ordering and rule based approach for syntactic text aggregation. Apart from Natural Language Generation, these techniques can be used in variety of Natural Language Processing applications like Machine Translation, Text Summarization, Question Answering etc. to improve the fluency of the output text.
