About Me

Hi, my name is Sujeet Kumar, and I am a PhD student at IIT Kharagpur in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, working on natural language processing topics such as machine translation, Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), and poetry-to-prose generation for Sanskrit, with Prof. Pawan Goyal.

I am also a part of the Complex Networks Research Group (CNeRG), where we focus on various research topics including natural language processing, network science, and machine learning.

Through my work, I aim to advance the understanding and processing of Sanskrit using modern AI techniques, combining the richness of ancient texts with the power of contemporary computational models.

If you're looking for me, you’ll probably find me in Cubical 11, CNeRG Lab or the AI Lab in the Annex Building, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur (India – 721302). But a heads-up: I’m often “deep in thought” (or at least pretending to be!). If you’d like to meet, it’s best to send an email to confirm I’m not busy training models or fighting code bugs. You can call me but emails have a higher success rate!
