Working in the project - Preprocessing of Degraded Documents Towards the Robust Understanding and Character Recognition of Indian Scripts : Phase II , sponsored by Ministry of IT, Govt. of India. Role: Development of pre-processing modules for document images.

Principal Investigator: Prof. Jayanta Mukhopadhyay

Modules developed:

· Skew correction of Indian text documents with headlines (e.g., Bangla, Devnagari, Asamese, etc).

· Detection and removal of hand-drawn underlines in document images.
