Sudip Roy is a Research Scholar in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, currently pursuing Ph.D. He is a Microsoft Research India PhD Fellow (2010-2014). His PhD thesis addresses computer-aided design (CAD) algorithms for automatic sample preparation using digital microfluidic biochips. He had submitted his PhD thesis in January, 2014. The title of the thesis is ``Design Automation Algorithms for Sample Preparation on a Digital Microfluidic Lab-on-a-Chip''.
He received B.Sc. (Honors) in Physics and B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India in 2001 and 2004, respectively, and M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, in 2009.
His research interests include algorithms for computer-aided design and testing of digital microfluidic lab-on-a-chips and digital VLSI circuits.
