Who

My name is Pranay. I am a fourth year undergrad, pursuing Computer Science major at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (@IITKharagpur). Alongside, I am also functioning as Advisor-Data Analytics @B-Club IIT Kharagpur, after being promoted from Head-Data Analytics.
I am fascinated by the frontiers of Computer Science and specially Machine Learning. I have had couple of months of awesome internship experiences with GE Intelligent Platforms and Symantec, wherein I got myself interested in Sofware Development, and since then Software Development forms a part of my #interests list.
I will mostly be found either finishing my assignments or hanging around with friends. I am lucky to have a very loving family, friendly seniors, cool bunch of friends, pack of wolves as my wing-mates (@Hostel) and motivated juniors @B-Club.

Bachelors + Masters in Computer Science• since July 2012

Being a dual degree student, this is my pen-ultimate year of study @IIT Kharagpur. Through these 3 years, I have picked up knowledge in a variety of courses - from core computer science courses to humanities and financial stocks-related ones. Work

Software Engineering Intern • Hyderabad, India • May 2015 - July 2015

Worked on GE Proficy Historian - one of the best enterprise-wide time-series data historian that collects, archives and distributes huge volumes of prduction data at very high speeds.
Improved the overall throughput by increasing the number of concurrent reads/writes from/to the database files. Also, did some data analytics to obtain optimal client-side system configuration for maximizing the system performance monitors.

Software Engineering Intern • Pune, India • May 2014 - July 2014

Worked on developing SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection) Dashboard for the enterprise clients of SEP, one of the few organization-wide endpoint security solutions by Symantec.
Added features like generating SEP Performance data reports on the go and automating the work-flow for report generation. All code was reviewed, fixed and pushed to production.
