Prasanna Paithankar


I am currently a senior undergraduate at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, pursuing a BTech+MTech in Computer Science and Engineering.

I am pursuing my Bachelor’s Thesis under the supervision of Professor Partha Pratim Chakrabarti and Professor Shailendra Varshney. The focus is on optimizing the performance of computational electromagnetics (and similar domains in physics) using AI.

I also work on pseudorandomness and random number generator architectures at Fiber Optics and Nano and Quantum Photonics (FONQP) Group, Advanced Photonics Laboratory (APL), IIT Kharagpur.

[15/10/24] Indian Mobile Congress 2024: Exhibitor for Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Presented our TRNG patent.

[10/10/23] FiO + LS 2023 Conference: Manuscript titled “Femtosecond Laser based Post-Processing Free True Random Number Generator” has been present at FiO+LS 2023 conference at Tacoma, Washington.

[30/06/23] IJPAP Revew Article: Review article titled “Microring Resonators and its Applications” has been published in Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Physics (IJPAP) Vol.61(07).
