A Little About My Work

I have completed my Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Arun Kumar Majumdar and Prof. Shamik Sural. In my Ph. D., I have worked in the ereas of image segmentation and video object tracking applicable to health care services. Currently, I am with Advanced Technology Group (ATG) of Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. Noida, India and working as a Chief Engineer. My present focus is in the ereas of gesture reconition and augmented reality.

Information technology driven solutions are becoming popular in a number of daily life activities. Many domains get benefited from IT based solutions. Various information technology based solutions exist for smooth running of routine as well as emergency medical services. Automation of such health care services are mainly driven by efficient computational and interdisciplinary technologies. For example, usage of tele-medicine based systems in hospitals, health centers and remote places are common. Both, information technology and advanced communication technology made it possible. In today's scenario, high speed data transfer, efficient computational power and sophisticated medical instruments are the backbone of such health care revolutions. In many countries, it has been in use successfully for a considerable amount of time and now in India people are getting interested in using such assistive tools. In my Ph.D. thesis, I have addressed a number of challenging problems related to image and video based automation of infant neurological examinations.

Oops! It's Me!

Like playing cards, though, I don't even know every rule of contract bridge. However, I really enjoy playing auction bridge, especially when a weak partner is paired with me. Because, I love to be placed in a situation from where no one can win a game and surprisingly! enjoy loosing such games. The only condition is that the game must continue overnight. Like cooking food with my own recipes and if people do not like the food, somehow convince them to eat the food. Also, I'll make sure that they do not have any complaint against the food before they leave my kitchen (Sometimes, forcefully!!!).
