Practice hours

Practice sessions for students will be available in PC Lab I from 5 - 10 PM on every working day and from 9 AM to 5 PM at week-ends (except holidays). Students are to produce their identity cards to the security personnel at the entrance and sign in a register. Students are allowed to use only the Linux environment.

There will be no particular slots for each individual section. Anybody can come and use any free PC to work. Note that the official lab sessions are conducted in PC Lab II, whereas the practice sessions will run in PC Lab I. So there is no direct attachment of a PC with a student (unlike in the official lab sessions). However, if the unlikely situation, namely all terminals are engaged and another student has to wait for a free PC, occurs quite frequently, the students are requested to inform the instructors and/or lab teachers.
